LONG BEACH – These guys are becoming masters of qualifying for the Masters Meet.
Poly High junior Deon Reid and St. Anthony junior Nyko Bodnar will compete in their third CIF Southern Section Swimming and Diving Masters Meet today at 4 p.m. at the Woollett Aquatic Center in Irvine.
This year, both enter the competition having won CIF divisional diving titles last week.

Local divers Lauren Skinner of Wilson, Deon Reid of Poly and Nyko Bodnar of St. Anthony are headed for CIF Championships this week.
Skinner, a sophomore at Wilson, is a first year varsity high school diver and has qualified for CIF Championships and will compete in the Division Two Women’s Event on Tuesday, May 10th.Read More »Local McCormick Divers Head to CIF Divisions
Almost 60 years ago, Huntington Beach resident and diving legend, Dr. Sammy Lee was in Helsinki, Finland winning his second Olympic Gold medal at the 1952 Olympic Games.
Last year, Sammy got together with a room full of diving greats from all over the U.S. to celebrate his 90th birthday.
